I was over the moon to collaborate with the absolutely divine and incredibly intelligent Dr Angela Puca on a photoshoot to celebrate her successful YouTube channel and Patreon Community Angela's Symposium. I first met Angela during my PhD and remember how stoked I was to be researching alongside a fellow gothic goddess and lover of all things spiritual and esoteric. Angela has created something truly inspirational in her online community, where she shares her expert knowledge of Witchcraft, Magic and Shamanism. She has recently celebrated achieving 1 million views on You Tube in less than 3 years! You go lass!

I met Angela for a stroll amongst the majestic gothic ruins of Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds. The light of early spring promising to provide a return to warmer times, as we explored these ancient grounds. The welcome rays of sunlight breaking through the darker shadows of the Abbey made for the perfect backdrop for our photoshoot. The newly emerging sun bathed Angela for some stunning Ostara portraits as we ventured further into the ruins.

Angela shared with me her love for the community which she has brought together. We chatted about the Whitby Goth Festival and how it has provided the perfect opportunity to meet some of her Patreons in person. Angela selected some gorgeous witchy items to introduce into our photoshoot. A gifted Nightmare Before Christmas Tarot Deck from one of her kind Patreons, beautiful warming candles, and the cleansing, earthy sage which I brought along.

The Abbey is steeped in quiet mystery. It carries a unique energy which surrounded us as we placed candles and tarot cards upon the weather beaten ruins. As sage filled the air, the Abbey's character came through stronger in each interaction with this unique historical place .

It wasn't just the weather that lifted my spirits during the shoot. It was truly lovely to spend some time with Angela again and celebrate our creative journeys since finishing our PhDs. She has a magical way of bringing good vibes and warmth to conversations and gatherings. Angela, I cannot wait to see your Symposium community continue to grow and thrive! You are a true inspiration and I absolutely love that you bring your authentic self and some much needed soul to academic research! Thank you for trusting me with this celebration of your achievements. I highly recommend checking out Angela's Symposium

to learn more about her fascinating research.

With gratitude and love to Dr Angela Puca xx
