It was such an honour to meet and photograph the newest arrival to the Pilgrim family. Sophia Wren is such a beautiful little lass! I absolutely adored capturing those precious first smiles, yawns and just look at her dainty little fingers and toes! It was a privilege to spend a few hours in the gorgeous loving and calm home that Laura and Dave have created for their family. Sophia is the most chilled out baby that I have ever met! Laura's confidence as a new Mama was so inspiring. I was in awe to see such a wee little lass so blissed out in her Mama's arms.

When I arrived, little Sophia was all snuggled up having a nap on her Mama in their gorgeous lounge. This posed the perfect opportunity for me to take some lovely photographs which truly capture the magical bond which Laura and Sophia share. Sophia is one lucky little lass, as Laura has an absolute talent for knitting earth-shatteringly beautiful blankets and baby clothes which adorn her precious new bundle of joy. In fact, their entire home has been lovingly designed and decorated by Laura with a serene and ethereal blue palette which I carried through into this series of photographs for the Pilgrim family.

As Sophia awakens, I get a glimpse of her captivating little personality that Laura has told me so much about. She is so happy, outgoing and friendly; just like her Mama. She looks lovingly into Laura's eyes as they chatter away together. It is such an honour to sit with new parents and capture their early bonding experiences with their much longed for and cherished babes. Each parent-baby relationship is so unique. Laura tells me that Sophia is constantly smiling. Something I can absolutely resonate with as I spend more time with the Pilgrims' and see the joy which they share as a family.

Towards the end of my time with the Pilgrims', I'm yet to capture Sophia's cute little yawn which she seems to do only as I'm changing my lenses! Her doting Dad Dave is bouncing her on his knee and...there we go! Sophia lets out the biggest yawn she's done all morning and I capture a stunning photograph of the adorable little lass, mid-yawn.

After saying a fond farewell to Laura, Dave and Sophia, it would be rude of me not to give some attention to the other little family of three that have been eagerly watching me all morning: their three enchanting cats. Mama cat Gypsy and her kittens, Charlie and Henry. What a truly lovely way to spend a morning!

With gratitude and love to Laura, Dave and Sophia Wren xx
